Romantic city Sighnaghi!

Sighnaghi is a cozy city in eastern Georgia, located on the slope of a mountain in Kakheti, was founded in the 18th century under King Heraclius II and is the only city in Georgia that has completely preserved the fortress walls. The fortress wall is lined with watchtowers, which you can climb to observe magnificent views of the Alazani Valley.

The goal is to make Sighnaghi a center of tourism.

By 2007, Sighnaghi had turned into a European town with narrow cobblestone streets, winding and steep, and quarters of one and two-storey houses under bright red tiled roofs in the style of southern Italian classicism.

On one central square of the city there is a Wedding House, where you can get married at any time of the day. That is why Sighnaghi is called the "City of Lovers".

In Sighnaghi you will find many cozy places, hotels, street cafes and restaurants, where you can taste the famous Kakhetian wines of their own preparation: Saperavi and Kindzmarauli, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane ... This is a long list, believe me.

There are three medieval temples here, and two kilometers from Sighnaghi there is the Bodbe Monastery, popular among tourists and pilgrims, where the relics of the enlightener of Georgia, St. Nina Equal to the Apostles (IV century), rest.
